Karewa (Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Taranaki Whānui, Ngāti Koata, Ngāi Tahu, Rangitāne) grew up in Takapuwahia, Porirua and has been working alongside his whānau and iwi, serving in various leadership roles.
Karewa has extensive experience working in the ITO sector to assist whānau to gain qualifications and employment with large tier one organisations and is passionate about supporting their aspirations to thrive.
Karewa has seen many examples of our people missing out on opportunities due to not knowing what was out there to help them to prosper or how to navigate through the business sector. He’s really enjoying the opportunity to help Māori and Pasifika businesses put their best foot forward.
Karewa covers the area of Te Tai Hauāuru/Wellington-Taranaki.
