Juliana Flaxman-Hendriks

Juliana, known as “J”, is a Malaysian Kiwi with Eurasian and Chinese ancestry who has lived in west Auckland since 1987. She’s fluent in English, Malay and is working on her te reo Māori.
J has over 30 years’ experience as a personal assistant (PA), including 15 with local government and several years in the business and corporate sector. She has provided assistance and support to senior managers across policy and planning, arts, community development and events. She has a Diploma in Private Secretaryship and a Certificate in Small Business.
J’s vision is for more active and healthier local communities. As well as supporting this in her role for TSI, she is a qualified instructor in the flow arts of tai chi and SpinPoi, which she teaches at several different community centres. Spot her there or afterwards having coffee with her participants, where they all share good food and positive life experiences.
