Explaining Systems Change
You might hear a lot about 'systems change', but what is it exactly?
Systems change is an approach that recognises how complex the world really is, and focuses on shifting the whole picture rather than merely tinkering with little parts.
Our Healthy Families South Auckland team uses the systems change approach to be more centred on whānau aspirations and lived experiences.
They're working with whānau to truly understand which systems are impacting whānau health and wellbeing and how, together, they can shift things like mental models and policies to being more supportive of their aspirations.
You'll be seeing more videos in the coming weeks, showcasing the mahi within the context of systems change.
